Les Allues, Meribel.

Les Allues is the first mountain town you see on your way up to Meribel, a lovely original Savoyarde village with narrow streets, beautifull old barns (many converted into luxurious accommodation) and other properties run by the owners or small friendly ski companies aswell as self catered accommodation.
The village of Les Allues is a ten minute ride to the main lift station at Chaudanne in the centre of Meribel.
Once a quite hamlet, it is now a popular alternative to the main resort of Meribel and maintains the true character of this beautiful alpine region.
Amongst the old stone buildings and rambling streets, visitors will now find 4 bars, 5 restaurants and 1 hotel, there is a newsagent, mini supermarket and a sports shop for your ski/snowboard hire and clothing etc. The Olympic bubble joins Les Allues to the ski area and there is a free bus service from the top of the village to Meribel and the other villages in this valley.
